Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Maintenance A – Mechanical & Electrical on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm, M-F) in Wilmington, NC. You will set up, maintain, repair, and modify complex equipment and their controls, diagnosing malfunctions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include servicing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, reading technical prints, and ensuring safety and compliance. Prior multi-year maintenance experience and ability to work with up to 480V are required.

Qualifications

Two years' experience reading complex mechanical and electrical drawings.
Three or more years in electrical and mechanical maintenance work.
Two years of experience with voltage up to 480V.
Two years of basic computer skills and maintenance documentation.
Two years operating metalworking machines (milling, drill press, grinder, saws, lathe).
Three years using gauges like micrometers, vernier scales and calipers.

Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, alter, install, repair or rearrange complex equipment and controls.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions with minimal supervision.
Service and repair systems for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Work with 480V systems and related electrical equipment.
Read technical prints and coordinate equipment restart with operators.
Operate forklift or cranes as needed and adhere to safety regulations.
