Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a comprehensive role involving setup, repair, and overhaul of complex equipment and controls. The candidate must read intricate drawings, perform precise alignments, and diagnose malfunctions with minimal supervision.

The position requires experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with capacity to work shift-based schedules and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; maintenance training or trade school preferred.
• Read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings; perform precise alignments.
• Three years of maintenance experience or completion of GE Hitachi Maintenance A – Mechanical/Electrical Trainee Program (GE Employees only).
• Experience with two of: milling machines, presses (metal fabrication), grinders, saws, lathes, deburr/edge contouring.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, alter, install, repair or rearrange complex equipment and controls.
• Diagnose malfunctions and correct with minimal supervision.
• Read complex drawings for accurate alignment and installation.
• Operate moving equipment for installation and repairs (forklifts, cranes, hoists).
• Perform shop math, measurements, and ensure safety regulations are followed.
