GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC seeks an experienced maintenance technician to set up, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex machinery and controls across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The role includes reading intricate drawings, coordinating equipment restart with operators, and performing preventative maintenance.

The position runs Friday–Sunday 7am–7pm and requires ability to work with minimal supervision, lift up to 40 pounds, and pass safety requirements for controlled

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED. Associate degree in maintenance desirable.
Read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
Three years in electrical and mechanical maintenance or completion of GE Hitachi program.

Responsibilities

Set up, maintain, alter, install, repair, or rearrange complex equipment and related controls.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrections with minimal supervision.
Operate moving equipment and coordinate restart after repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance on process equipment and tooling.
