Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics, and related equipment on the 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include documenting work in CMMS, performing root-cause analysis of downtime, and supporting facility projects.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment.
Basic skill level in Microsoft Excel.
Willing to travel at least up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to stand for 8–12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
Must be willing to learn new equipment as it is brought on-line.
Ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs, work at heights, and operate PPE safely.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
Troubleshoot out of service equipment and escalate to leadership or senior technicians as needed.
Document work in CMMS and maintain logs for pumps, generators, HVAC and facility systems.
Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
Assist maintenance mechanics and support facility projects as assigned.
Assemble and test equipment to verify operation and analyze production delays and defects.
