Job summary

Staples is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for our climate-controlled Orlando warehouse. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, and material handling equipment, while adhering to safety protocols to keep operations running smoothly.

You will also handle light plumbing, carpentry, and basic building maintenance, with responsibilities including working at heights up to 60 feet and lifting 70–100 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to pass drug screening where permitted.
• Full-time role with overtime as needed.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet.
• Must lift 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Trade school background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Operate motors, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and ladders.
• Perform light plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Uphold safety practices and safety culture.
• Support Staples Supply Chain to deliver to customers.
