Staples is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, motors, and material handling equipment in our Portland, OR facility. You will work on building maintenance tasks and be trained to operate power material handling equipment, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of related experience, and the ability to lift 70–100 pounds.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where permissible by law.
• Full‑time schedule with overtime as needed.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
• Lift/push/pull 70–100 pounds by hand.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain building facilities including overhead doors and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Read blueprints/schematics and follow vendor manuals for maintenance tasks.
• Operate MHE equipment after training/certification; ensure safe work practices.
