Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support manufacturing operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports continuous improvement, and maintains compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or industrial equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues.
• Execute repairs following safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
• Document maintenance activities accurately within required systems and records.
• Perform inventory checks and assist with spare parts management.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and manufacturing personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Escalate complex equipment problems to senior technicians or leadership when necessary.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Complete required training and maintain proficiency in maintenance procedures and systems.
• Ensure all work complies with bioMérieux quality standards, GMP requirements, and safety policies.
