Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to supervise maintenance activities, coach team members, and ensure timely completion of work orders. The role emphasizes equipment reliability, safety, and effective labor planning across the shift schedule.

You will manage CMMS work orders, use Grainger VMI, review maintenance records, coordinate with outside contractors, and collaborate with facility staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Experience managing parts and assets in CMMS systems.
• Experience using Grainger’s Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
• Knowledge of maintenance records retention limits.
• Knowledge of security controls and fire protection systems.
• Prior warehouse experience or training is preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of shop equipment and related systems.
• Ability to work varied shifts and overtime as required.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Maintenance Manager to discuss workload.
• Responsible for receipts/check-in and close out process.
• Use CMMS to create, manage and close work orders.
• Coordinate Grainger VMI usage and inventory management.
• Submit time off and other HR paperwork.
• Plan labor effectively for the department.
• Maintain records and reports on time.
• Ensure proper equipment and parts are available.
• Oversee outside contractors for maintenance work.
• Conduct start-up meetings and assign daily tasks.
• Lead safety and housekeeping practices.
• Collaborate with DC staff on procedures.
