Job summary

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking Machine Shop Technicians for the Paragould, AR facility. Position involves setting up and operating conventional mills, lathes, and grinders during the night shift. Pay ranges from $23.50 to $29.50 per hour, with a $0.75 night differential.

Responsibilities include inspection, setup, measurement, and maintenance of production equipment. Experience with manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related accessories is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories such as manual mills, lathes, grinders, and tool grinders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test machinery, repair as needed to safely return equipment to operation.
• Set up, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments, and work material.
• Calculate machining factors such as speed, feed, depth, and coolant flow.
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust controls as needed.
• Use micrometers, dial calipers, depth gauge indicators to measure parts.
• Inspect the workpiece and create an inspection document for reference.
