Qualifications

• Three years of experience in vertical mills and lathes.
• Ability to set up machines independently.
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum.
• Knowledge of tool holders, insert types, lathe threading and boring setups.
• Experience with geometric tolerances, inspection gauges and layouts.
• Experience operating hoisting and lifting devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machining tools to perform precision machining operations (lathe, milling, drill press).
• Machine and fabricate parts such as shafts, bushings, pins, gears, hubs and bearings.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision measurement tools.
• Conduct maintenance on equipment per schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance team on projects and work orders.
• Adhere to safety policies to ensure a safe plant environment.
