Job summary

Avina Healthcare is seeking a licensed RN or LPN to provide quality nursing care in a long-term care setting and supervise nursing assistants. This role coordinates resident care with other disciplines and ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations. Full-time status on shift and ongoing education are required.

A $15,000 sign-on bonus is paid out over two years. The successful candidate will transcribe orders, manage medications, and participate in care conferences as part of the care

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an RN or LPN in Wisconsin (state license required).
• Full-time status on shift is required.
• Willing to learn Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Admission/Discharge process.
• Complete accident/incident reports and follow-up investigations.
• Transcribe physician orders and document resident information, notifying physician and family as needed.
• Review medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Be willing to learn Electronic Medical Record system and adapt to changes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Participate in Care conferences and update care plans.
• Develop good rapport with all disciplines to meet resident needs.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Maintain current Wisconsin RN/LPN license.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff, visitors and outside agencies.
