Job summary

Vicars Landing 1 is seeking a qualified nurse to provide direct resident care in a long‑term care setting. The role includes supervising nursing assistants and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local standards to maintain resident independence and well‑being.

Sign‑on bonuses are available for eligible full‑time candidates working night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with a structured payout schedule totaling $5,000.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current R.N. or L.P.N. License in the State of Florida.
• Must be able to write, read, and speak the English language.
• Must possess a current/valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care according to established standards of care.
• Assume charge position and direct nursing assistants.
• Perform routine charting in accordance with policies.
• Order and administer medications per physician orders and guidelines.
• Identify problems and implement changes to improve care; inform Director of Nursing.
• Round with physicians and communicate admissions and changes to staff.
• Participate in infection control and QA programs; ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies to avoid waste.
• Contribute to development and revision of resident care plans.
• Ensure residents’ rights are observed and respected by nursing staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
