Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.

Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the resident as per care plan.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota.
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with state board privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for long-term residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to meet resident needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents and families.
