Job summary

Penske Logistics in Faribault, MN is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and hourly staff, ensuring customer requirements are met and company goals are achieved.

This role covers daily dispatch, loading/unloading, safety, and continuous improvement, with a Wednesday–Saturday schedule (5:00 PM–5:00 AM) and a salary of $56,200–$74,500 plus a biweekly $205 shift differential. Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits are noted.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain solid relationships with associates, Company leadership, internal and external customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily tasks including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations.
• Supervises processes including people, systems, customer needs, and equipment; manages scheduling and performance of direct reports.
• Hire involvement and conduct meetings; ensure records and reports are completed timely.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, and monitor overtime to meet productivity targets.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement aligned with location goals.
