Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Flat Rock, MI location. The role provides operational leadership to hourly staff, coordinating daily tasks such as driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and customer service operations in alignment with company goals.

You will supervise processes, manage performance, and participate in hiring while ensuring safety and cost objectives are met. The shift runs 6:00 pm-6:00 am, with 4-12s and peak-season flexibility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coach and develop hourly staff.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to drive process improvements and lead change.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly staff to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate loading/unloading, dispatch, and documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to staff.
• Monitor performance, attendance, and productivity; provide feedback.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance at the location.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding activities for new hires.
