Job summary

Penske Logistics in Rocklin, CA is seeking a dedicated Operations Supervisor to lead drivers and a hourly workforce on a Monday–Friday night shift (8:00 PM–6:00 AM). This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and process discipline to meet service and cost objectives.

You will supervise daily tasks such as loading/unloading, dispatch, and documentation, coach team members, evaluate performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain relationships with associates and customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly staff to ensure daily task execution.
• Supervise driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations.
• Manage scheduling of workforce and equipment to meet productivity targets.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and control costs.
