Penske Logistics in Frederick, MD is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and hourly staff, ensuring timely driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and top-notch customer service while meeting cost objectives.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, and a safety mindset, with a Sunday–Wednesday 6:00 PM–6:00 AM schedule. Salary ranges from $56,200 to $74,500 and a comprehensive benefits plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with associates and leadership.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Train and validate supervisors and associates; ensure competency and alignment with customer objectives.
• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
• Interview hourly staff and assist hiring decisions.
• Monitor attendance and productivity; provide coaching and counseling.
• Motivate and engage associates by focusing on team accomplishments and recognition.
• Supervise dispatch, customer service, and documentation; control processes.
• Plan work to optimize fleet use and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and manage overtime.
