Job summary

US Foods in Garland, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate driver assignments and shuttle activities to ensure on-time distribution to customers. The role requires monitoring service levels and escalating issues that threaten schedules.

You will reassign routes, verify driver logs with Omnitracs, prepare attendance trackers, and work with drivers, transportation managers, and sales teams to maintain smooth operations in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs.
• Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignments to resolve service issues and minimize overtime, downtime, and hours of service violations.
• Complete attendance trackers and verify that drivers are using Omnitracs properly.
• Escalate issues to managers and sales force when service problems occur.
• Reassign routes to solve issues and ensure drivers are logging in and using POD scanner.
• Coordinate trailer, tractor, and backhaul assignments to support efficient logistics operations.
