Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, is seeking a Dispatcher in Frisco, TX to support overnight operations and a nationwide transportation network. The role is on-site with four 10-hour shifts, typically starting at 7:00 PM or 9:00 PM, and a fast-paced environment coordinating drivers, customers, and DCs.

You will monitor GPS/telematics, respond to issues, and prepare nightly reports to inform leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, or food distribution.
• Experience working directly with drivers in a fast-paced transportation environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity with Samsara, Coretex 360, iBright, Descartes, or similar dispatch and tracking systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety practices, and problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support drivers and transportation teams across multiple time zones during overnight operations
• Monitor fleet activity using GPS, telematics, and dispatch systems to ensure on-time deliveries
• Respond to driver issues including delays, breakdowns, route changes, and device troubleshooting
• Review safety events, reefer compliance, and transportation exceptions while escalating concerns as needed
• Communicate delivery delays and service issues with customers and internal stakeholders
• Prepare shift handoffs, nightly recaps, and operational reports to support leadership decision-making
