Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a dedicated supervisor to direct a patient support team on the night shift (11pm–7am). The role focuses on coordinating staff, delivering direct patient care under physician guidance, and promoting patient wellness through therapeutic activities.

The candidate will lead group sessions, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with other staff to ensure safe discharge and continued care. A supervisory background is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility in a patient support role required.
• One or more years’ experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical or therapeutic care under physician instructions.
• Coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff to build trust and cooperation.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and basic healthcare.
• Facilitate therapeutic or recreational group activities.
• Oversee admitting and discharging processes.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well being and document progress.
• Observe patient behavior and provide counseling as needed.
• Encourage social and recreational participation to build skills.
• Lead or co-lead group sessions in therapy or recreation.
• Collaborate with staff to rehabilitate and reintegrate patients.
• May transport patients when needed.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, professional attitude and address complaints.
