Job summary

International Motors seeks a Lead Paint Manufacturing Engineer for night shifts in San Antonio. You will provide hands-on leadership for pretreatment, E-Coat, sealer, paint application, and curing processes, working with operations, maintenance, quality, and suppliers.

The role requires responding to line calls, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions while leading process improvements and launches. Night shift operates 5:30 PM–4:00 AM, with a 10% differential, starting early 2027.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with manufacturing focus or related field.
Master's degree acceptable with relevance.
5+ years of manufacturing experience also considered.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on night-shift engineering support for paint operations.
Own and optimize pretreatment, E-Coat, sealer, paint delivery, ovens, booths, conveyors, and controls.
Review lab results and trends; coordinate adjustments and maintenance.
Lead troubleshooting for defects, process variation, and cure performance.
Respond to interruptions; establish containment and shift handoffs.
Use SPC, DOE, and data to validate improvements and cost reductions.
Develop PFMEAs, control plans, process specs, and standard work.
Lead launches, changes, and capital projects from trials to handoff.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and suppliers to improve safety, quality, uptime.
