Job summary

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Lead Operator for a 12-hour night shift (6:00pm-6:30am) at our Rochester, NY facility. This full-time role includes training responsibilities and ensures quality and safety standards across production lines.

The position reports to the facility leadership and offers strong career-pathing and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and manufacturing experience, with familiarity in PPE and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, extensive experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to wear PPE (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net, Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots).
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning.
• Ability to use various hand tools (RF scanner guns, can openers, knifes and scales).
• Previous experience as a machine operator, QC Technician and a forklift operator.
• May be required to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with the majority of production equipment and processes;
• Ensure all products exiting production line meet customer and product requirements;
• Validate correct materials are being utilized;
• Adhere to all quality standards and policies;
• Ensure finished product is transported/loaded correctly;
• Identify noticeable defects in incoming & outgoing products;
• Cross training or training on equipment as defined by manager;
• Must be flexible in availability to work various shifts and/or facilities;
• Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
