Job summary

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for 12-hour night shifts (6pm-6:30am) in Rochester, NY. The role involves safely operating machinery to maximize efficiency while upholding product quality and sanitation standards.

You will set up, run, change over, and troubleshoot equipment, and participate in safety and GMP practices. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), basic math and communication skills, and the ability to use PPE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation preferred.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to apply basic math and reasoning.
• Forklift experience in applicable areas is a plus.
• Lock out/tag out certification is preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, including setup, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in assigned area.
• Cross-train or receive training on equipment as defined by manager.
• Manage and issue raw materials into work orders.
• Work safely per company rules and regulations.
• Maintain good attendance per policy.
• Report food safety and quality problems to responsible personnel.
