Job summary

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for the 12-hour night shift (6pm-6:30am) in Rochester, NY. You will safely operate packaging machinery, perform setup and changeovers, and troubleshoot to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires PPE usage, basic math, and teamwork in a high-noise, hot/cold environment. Experience with forklifts and lockout/tagout is a plus; strong attendance and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to wear PPE (hair net, cap, ear protection, gloves, safety glasses).
• Basic math and reasoning for measurements and quality checks.
• Ability to use common hand tools for testing and setup.
• Forklift experience for applicable areas.
• Lockout/tagout certification is a plus.
• Continuous improvement mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery with set-up, operation, changovers and troubleshooting.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery.
• Follow SOPs for equipment in assigned area.
• Cross-train or receive equipment training as defined by supervisor.
• Manage materials in work orders and maintain safety compliance.
• Maintain good attendance and report safety/quality issues promptly.
