Job summary

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas is seeking a Sander Operator Helper to support the sanding line and ensure quality laminate production. The role involves feeding, positioning, and processing laminate under the supervision of a Sander Operator, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The position supports night shifts (N1 and N2) and requires the ability to read measurements, operate the sander, and perform basic maintenance while maintaining production schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and related rules/regulations.
• Ability to read a production schedule/logs and record information accurately.
• Ability to visually detect product imperfections and defects.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve pressed material from the breakdown holding area.
• Operate table lift to position material to be sanded.
• Activate feed line, edge routing, and end cut.
• Insert laminate into the sander and cut to size.
• Conduct visual quality checks of finished laminate.
• Inspect material against specs and defects.
• Document material waste and transfer finished product to the goods area.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and routine maintenance checks.
