Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
• Knowledgeable in reading manufacturing schedules.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Skill in hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to lead people.

Responsibilities

• Count the proper amount of core material needed for production.
• Lay up the core material according to the production schedule.
• Monitor the visual quality of the material.
• Inspect the run before moving to the press.
• Prepare the lay-up station for the next run.
• Complete all documentation necessary to complete the run.
• Train the lay-up people in laying-up the material, visual quality of the material and how to read the production schedule.
• Read and understand the product specification book.
• Train as Head Layup
