Job summary

Frederick Health in Frederick, MD seeks a part-time Registered Nurse for a NICU position. Night shift hours are 7:00pm–7:30am with a 48-hour bi-weekly schedule and weekend/holiday rotation. The 30-bed Level III NICU cares for extremely low birth weight babies, with RN-led patient care and teaching duties.

Minimum qualifications include Maryland RN licensure, an Associates degree in Nursing, BLS, and NRP upon hire or within 90 days. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• BLS certification is required; NRP certification required upon hire or within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning of patients.
• Provide care using the nursing process and document appropriately.
• Coordinate care with health care team and families; participate in teaching and quality improvement.
