Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in Baltimore, MD. The role requires an associate degree in nursing, Maryland RN licensure, and CPR certification.

Priority is given to candidates with a year of RN experience and specialty certifications upon hire. The nurse will administer medications and IV therapies, coordinate patient care with families and health teams, and participate in teaching patients and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR (biennial).
• ACLS, PALS or NRP and other specialty certifications required upon hire.
• One year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and determine priorities for care.
• Compile database and formulate nursing diagnoses; plan and document care.
• Coordinate patient, family and health team in hospital and post-discharge planning.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments; respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families; teach care plans and discharge instructions.
• Delegate tasks to ancillary staff; monitor nursing care delivery.
• Document patient status and care plans; communicate with physicians and care team.
