Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal phlebotomy training preferred; didactic and clinical experience preferred.
• One year of phlebotomy or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to communicate clearly with patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers and provide laboratory information.
• Collect specimens from outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
• Verify specimen requirements and instruct patients on self-collection when needed.
• Prepare and transport specimens; use information systems accurately.
• Support a culture of safety and participate in quality improvement activities.
