Saint Luke's East Hospital is hiring a Lab Support Technician for the full-time night shift. The role involves collecting patient specimens, supporting arterial collection and processing, and assisting with competency evaluations of staff in multi-skilled patient-care areas.

Responsibilities include specimen processing, data entry in LIS/EMR, and performing point-of-care testing as directed, while maintaining clear communication with nursing and unit staff regarding collections.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Ability to collect specimens in accordance with policy and standards.
• Good communication with nursing and unit staff.

Responsabilités

• Collect patient specimens per laboratory policy and regulatory standards.
• Correlate samples to provider orders in LIS/EMR.
• Perform and report Point of Care testing as required.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and unit staff about collections.
