Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for the Galveston, TX correctional kitchen. You will coordinate and supervise a team to maintain high quality meals, ensure on-time service, correct portioning, and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time, onsite with night hours (8 PM – 4 AM), Friday and Saturday off. Preference for candidates with scratch cooking experience and leadership abilities; Elior North America supports growth and diversity.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume setting emphasizing scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Experience supervising a team and providing training.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meal services begin on time, and ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality.
