Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Combo Pipe Welder Journeyman (Night Shift) in Rapid City, SD. You will join diverse components using GTAW, SMAW, FACW, and GMAW per project specs, while following WPS and safety practices on industrial sites.

Must have 4+ years experience and the ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and perform field welds for structural and piping systems. Excellent teamwork and safety focus required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols, and other instructions to perform tasks.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and project specs.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as required by project needs.
• Field install welds on structural components, pipe, duct work and accessories.
• Prepare surfaces and select fillers per welding specs for proper joint detail.
• Coordinate with fitters and other crafts to prep materials and complete tasks safely.
