Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a pipefitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping systems for industrial plants. You will work on steam, heating, cooling, and processing systems at project sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Expect long shifts up to 12 hours, travel up to 90%, and a full-time schedule. Compensation includes night shift differential and benefits as outlined by MasTec. Join a leading EPC services provider with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Pipefitter training and NCCER, NCCCO, or approved 3rd party certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications
• Inspect worksite to determine obstructions and structural integrity
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions
• Cut pipe using hacksaw and pipe cutting tools
• Thread pipe using threading machine
• Bend pipe by hand or with bending machine
• Assemble and install metal and nonmetal pipe and fittings
• Join pipe by threaded, caulked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints
• Use hand tools to secure pipe to structure
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
• Test piping system for leaks
• Weld holding fixtures to structural steel
• May travel to different jobsites on short notice
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent
