Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Data Center Operator to operate and maintain a large array of systems across multiple data centers, ensuring patient care remains the priority. You will monitor schedules, respond to alerts, and maintain security and uptime for critical infrastructure.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with technical training, and 0–1 year of computer operations experience. Night shift, weekends, and holidays rotating; strong problem-solving and customer service skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–6 months of post-high school technical training.
• Less than 1 year of computer operations experience.
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data center systems across multiple locations.
• Monitor, log, and resolve processing problems to ensure patient care reliability.
• Respond to alerts and coordinate downtime and maintenance activities.
• Move tapes to on-site and off-site storage and prepare tapes for input/output.
• Provide first level security for data center systems and information.
• Escalate critical issues to technology teams as needed.
