Job summary

CoreSite seeks a Critical Operations Engineer I for the Night Shift Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00pm-6:30am, to operate and maintain data center critical systems. You will respond to alarms, document findings, and support customer infrastructure projects in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
• Clear written & verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of data center electrical, mechanical, BAS/BMS infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E/NFPA 72/OSHA fire life safety.
• Comfortable using hand tools and electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Respond to alarms, abnormal conditions, and document findings.
• Track, trend, and analyze system performance; use CMMS to manage work orders.
• Support electrical distribution from utility to customer load and backup gensets.
• Assist with maintenance activities on generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and transformers.
• Perform power adds/disconnects and related customer infrastructure tasks.
• Collaborate with senior technicians, contractors, and vendors.
