Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Associate in Brenham, TX. The role involves safely transporting raw material, issuing/receiving parts, and supporting inventory control with MRP and IFS systems.

You will operate forklifts, straddle trucks, and an overhead crane, while following safety protocols and quality checks. Training and potential step pay increases accompany the role, with a discretionary annual bonus considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to use common manufacturing math.
• 6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 6 months prior experience operating heavy equipment.
• 6 months prior experience using a computer inventory control system.
• Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.
• Complete overhead crane training.
• Become proficient in operating a straddle truck.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts by part number, description and quantity.
• Process receiving and issuing transactions in the MRP system.
• Complete kit-ups of shop orders per the shop schedule.
• Use IFS system to track inventory for assembly areas.
• Perform cycle counts and correct discrepancies.
• Operate forklift and complete training.
• Operate a straddle truck and overhead crane.
• Move finished work to shipping area and stage for shipping.
