Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Bellville, TX seeks an individual contributor for shipping and receiving with certification of mobile equipment. You will move material using forklifts, manage inventory, inspect incoming goods, and prepare proper paperwork.

You will participate in Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5S activities, and may train new employees while supporting safety programs. Overtime may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate good literacy skills.
• Certification of mobile equipment used is required.
• Responsible for incoming product inspection and proper paperwork signage.
• Perform six-point inspections of finished product prior to shipping.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Gemba and 5S practices is preferred.
• Ability to read tapes, tags, bills of lading and shipping papers.
• Train new employees and conduct safety audits.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and storage.
• Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

• Inspect materials received and ensure proper paperwork compliance.
