Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Material Control Specialist A to support movement, receiving, storing, and issuing of material with accuracy and efficiency.

You will operate forklift, straddle truck and shag truck with proper authorization and use two-way radios to prioritize requests. Responsibilities include monitoring bolsters and pole racks, assisting other departments as needed, and maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Must be trained and authorized to operate straddle truck, forklift, and shag truck.
• Stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds (frequent up to 20).
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move, receive, store, and issue material accurately.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklift, straddle truck, and shag truck.
• Prioritize calls and track space using receiving logs.
• Inspect loads for damage and report discrepancies.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety in all operations.
