Job summary

Astera Health at the Wadena campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time inpatient position. The RN will work 12-hour night shifts with every third holiday and weekend rotation as part of the schedule.

The role requires using and documenting the nursing process to deliver patient-focused care from admission to discharge, coordinating care with medical teams, and ensuring safety and quality in all patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an RN program and maintain active licensure.
• Experience coordinating nursing plans of care and collaborating with physicians.
• Skilled in administering medications and providing patient education.
• Strong commitment to safety, infection prevention and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate the nursing plan of care with the medical plan of care.
• Assist physicians with rounds, examinations and procedures.
• Perform nursing interventions and monitor responses to treatments.
• Safely administer medications including IV therapy and blood products as applicable.
• Document data accurately to maintain the medical record and support continuity of care.
