Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Ink Blender at our Appleton, WI facility. You will estimate, mix, and color-match inks, maintain accurate records, and support the Press Department using X-Rite color management technology.

Responsibilities include monitoring ink usage, weighing and forming formulations, managing inventory, and providing color samples to Customer Service. Physical stamina for 12-hour shifts and strict safety compliance are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor press schedules and estimate ink requirements.
• Weigh, mix, and color-match inks to specifications.
• Manage and utilize existing ink inventory.
• Screen and rework returned ink when appropriate.
• Support press operators with color matching as needed.
• Enter and maintain color standards and formulas in X-Rite software.
• Document ink data and update existing formulas.
• Develop new color formulations as needed.
• Provide drawdowns and color samples to Customer Service.
• Calibrate and maintain X-Rite equipment.
• Tag, store, and organize fresh and returned inks.
• Repack drum ink into pails as needed.
• Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Cross-train in other departments and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to GMP and Prerequisite Program requirements to ensure safe food packaging.
• Awareness of and adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
