Job summary

Sun Chemical in Menasha, WI is seeking an Ink Inplant Tech I to provide color matching and small batch blending on-site at the customer location. The third shift runs 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Under minimal supervision you will produce and QC inks, offer press-side technical support, maintain records, and identify basic rework opportunities while upholding safety and housekeeping standards. Lifting requirements apply, and prior ink manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; as well as dispensing and color match software.
• This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal skill.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following operating procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet or exceed the customer’s specifications.
• Provide some press side technical support, mainly color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• Identify a basic level of rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
