Job summary

ITW, a Fortune 300 global manufacturing leader, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Washington, DC area facility. The role focuses on breakdown and preventative maintenance of injection molding and assembly equipment to maximize uptime and safety.

The ideal candidate has up to a 2-year technical degree or 3 years related experience, with skills in troubleshooting, mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics. Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Up to a 2-year technical degree or 3 years related experience.
• Ability to read and follow Operating Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications.
• Read machine setup and operation sheets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts to maximize uptime in molding and assembly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding equipment and document results.
• Perform tooling and equipment changeovers as required.
• Improve equipment efficiency by addressing issues before scrap or downtime.
• Reduce costs by streamlining processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support ITW Toolbox projects and initiatives.
• Uphold a safety-first culture and comply with OSHA and related regulations.
