Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Technician to support and maintain components of the IT infrastructure and systems in a large-scale network serving NYC area.

Responsibilities include monitoring availability, scalability, and performance; configuring hardware, servers, cloud, storage and security; collaborating with teams to deliver projects; supporting 24/7 operations and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant IT experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, scalability and performance of IT systems.
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software.

• Maintain documentation and procedures for systems.
• Assist with network LAN/WAN implementations and troubleshooting.
