Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Industrial Maintenance & Utility Operator to support its plant manufacturing operations. This hybrid role combines hands-on mechanical maintenance with utility system monitoring and operation, emphasizing safety and reliability for continuous production.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping and rotating equipment, plus monitoring boilers, chillers, HVAC, scrubbers and other utility systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance or utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping and rotating equipment.
• Monitor and operate plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC and related infrastructure.
• Maintain CMMS records, assist with commissioning, and train junior staff.
• Respond to alarms and support emergency procedures for utilities.
