Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an Industrial Maintenance & Utility Operator to support our Glendale, KY plant. This hybrid role blends hands-on maintenance with critical utility system operation, focusing on safety and reliability to keep production flowing.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, boilers, HVAC, and process equipment, document in CMMS, and train newer O&M staff. On-call rotations and varying shifts are required to cover 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED; technical cert or associate degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance or utility operations.
Experience with process equipment, boilers, chillers, HVAC, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, piping, and rotating machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Monitor and operate boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other utility systems.
Respond to alarms and assist with startup, shutdown and emergency procedures.
Maintain CMMS records and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Train and guide less experienced O&M specialists.
