Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Spartanburg, SC to maintain and repair factory machinery, motors, drives, and hydraulics. You will troubleshoot using schematics, perform lubrication, and work on elevated equipment on a 2-2-3, 7pm-7am schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience or an associated degree/certification, with proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience OR an Associate Degree/Industrial Maintenance Certification with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience with 3-phase 480-volt AC motors and DC drives.
• Troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Reading blueprints, technical drawings or electrical schematics.
• Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, controls, PLCs, drive systems and power transmission components.
• Use diagrams, schematics and manuals to diagnose issues and fix machinery.
• Lubricate equipment and identify opportunities to improve lubrication practices.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, bending, standing, pushing and pulling for extended hours on rotating schedule.
• Work in elevated spaces.
