Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Prosperity, SC, is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our Plywood facility. The role involves troubleshooting, installing and maintaining industrial machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems, and supporting reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of electrical experience in industrial setting
• Experience with installation, calibration, fabrication, and preventive/predictive maintenance in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Experience with single and 3‑phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical equipment
• Install and align new equipment
• Perform proactive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime
• Repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, belts, and couplings
• Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulics, and associated circuits
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and programs
• Assist in developing reliability-centered maintenance strategies
• Perform pipefitting tasks and install piping across the facility
• Work up to 12 hours/day including shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime according to needs
