Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule (7 pm - 7 am). The role maintains and repairs manufacturing and facility equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and supports Kaizen projects.

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are required. Preferred candidates have a two-year technical diploma in industrial maintenance or equivalent experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor control.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical diploma/degree in industrial maintenance or 5 years industrial maintenance experience with related training.
• Experience with electrical wiring, electronics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic motor control.

Responsibilities

• Respond to safety related matters and ensure safe operations.
• Reduce downtime by quick diagnosis and repair requests from internal customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on automatic assembly/packing machines and injection molding equipment.
• Maintain and repair production and facility equipment; determine root causes and countermeasures.
• Prepare maintenance reports, work orders, and requests.
• Support equipment improvements and kaizen projects; install production equipment and utilities.
