Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule (7 pm - 7 am). The role maintains and repairs manufacturing and facility equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and supports Kaizen projects.

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are required. Preferred candidates have a two-year technical diploma in industrial maintenance or equivalent experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor control.

Qualifications

Two-year technical diploma/degree in industrial maintenance or 5 years industrial maintenance experience with related training.
Experience with electrical wiring, electronics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic motor control.

Responsibilities

Respond to safety related matters and ensure safe operations.
Reduce downtime by quick diagnosis and repair requests from internal customers.
Perform preventive maintenance on automatic assembly/packing machines and injection molding equipment.
Maintain and repair production and facility equipment; determine root causes and countermeasures.
Prepare maintenance reports, work orders, and requests.
Support equipment improvements and kaizen projects; install production equipment and utilities.
