Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. in Northern Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Tech for a 12-hour night shift (7 pm – 7 am) to maintain and repair all manufacturing and facility equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support kaizen and equipment improvements.

The role requires a two-year technical diploma or equivalent industrial maintenance experience with electrical, PLCs, hydraulics and motors.

Qualifications

Two-year technical diploma/degree in industrial maintenance.
5 years industrial maintenance experience with training covering electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics and motor control.
Experience with fabrication equipment (milling machine, band saw); preferred 1–3 years with automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Respond to safety related matters.
Reduce downtime by quick response, diagnosis and repair requests from internal customers.
Perform preventive maintenance on automatic assembly/packing machines and injection molding machines.
Maintain and repair production/facility equipment; determine root cause and countermeasures.
Prepare maintenance documentation (daily reports, work orders, etc.).
Perform project work such as equipment improvements using PLC programming.
Communicate effectively with other departments about maintenance activities.
Install production equipment and electrical and mechanical utilities; provide service and repairs.
Follow OSHA, safety and housekeeping guidelines; ensure others comply.
Perform other duties including overtime and other shifts as required.
