Job summary

EMCOR Government Services in McLean, VA is seeking a Tour Mechanic to perform tours, visually inspect mechanical and electrical spaces, and monitor equipment to ensure proper operation. You will assist HVAC mechanics, troubleshoot, and conduct preventive maintenance during a 10pm–6am shift, Tuesday–Saturday, under a Local 99 collective bargaining agreement.

The role requires licensing, several years of experience with building systems, and ability to work with various trades.

Qualifications

• Current Universal CFC License is required.
• 3+ years of maintenance/repair experience on commercial-residential equipment.
• Experience with reciprocating and screw compressors.
• 2 years with support trades (sheet metal, electrical, etc) in HVAC.
• Proficiency in plumbing and electrical as related to HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform tours of the facility, inspect mechanical/electrical spaces and monitor equipment.
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot HVAC systems; assist HVAC Mechanics.
• Follow CMMS dictated preventive maintenance tasks.
• Monitor BMCS control system and report deficiencies.
• Supervise support staff as needed and coordinate with subcontractors.
